My name is Kevin Watt and, in 2026, I’ll be embarking on a civic adventure: I’m running for Saanich District Council in the October election.
So much of our public conversation centres on the White House or Parliament Hill, yet the services we rely on every single day are local: our roads, parks, recreation centres, waste collection, police and fire services—the list goes on.
Municipal government shapes our day-to-day lives far more than most residents know. That’s why I’m setting out to deepen my understanding of the community where I live, work, and raise my family.
By the end of this journey, one thing is certain: I will know my community better through the stories, perspectives, and lived experiences of people in every corner of our community. And if elected, I’ll be ready to put my strengths and experience to work protecting, advancing, and strengthening the place I’m proud to call home.
